This collection aims to leverage surplus samples of paraffin and frozen tissue from biopsies and autopsies for diagnosis. The Biobank Hematology Collection at the SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital collects biological samples from pediatric patients with all types of hematological diseases, with the aim of ensuring the viability of research projects and encouraging collaboration Collaboration between research centers. The main purpose of the Maternal-Fetal-Neonatal Collection is threefold: to identify biomarkers of different fetal and pregnancy-related pathologies, to improve their understanding of their pathophysiology, and to design new diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic strategies. Research interests include preeclampsia, intrauterine growth retardation, preterm labour and delivery, pregnancies with complicated monochorial twins, fetal pregnancies with major malformations or genetic diseases, and low-risk pregnancies.
