Informative and educational materials
The educational materials and the information available to the patients involved in a clinical trial is key to ensuring treatment compliance and maximum comfort during their participation.
In the case of paediatric clinical trials, the format and content of such materials must be intelligible to this population group. Full-fledged scientific concepts or excessively long documents in an unfriendly format do not fulfil their informative goal.

Panels of patients and caregivers use a scientific methodology to conduct reviews of the educational materials associated with clinical trials. The aspects reviewed are:
- Health literacy (level of intelligibility of scientific information for non-experts)
- Content format
- Use of graphics, diagrams, drawings, etc.
