The researcher Lídia Martínez Sánchez received a degree in medicine from the University of Barcelona in 1997 and obtained a PhD from the University of Barcelona in 2015.

Since 2002 she has been attached to the Emergency Department at the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu. Since 2005 she has been an instructor in Structured Triage - Andorran Triage Model- and, since 2008, Pediatric and Neonatal Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Instructor. Member of the Poisoning Group of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Urgencies since 2008, has coordinated the creation of Quality Indicators in Pediatric Intoxications. She is a Member of the Toxicology Task Force of the Catalan Society of Emergency Medicine and Emergencies and, since 2012, she has coordinated the creation of Pediatric Coditox.
