The researcher Jordi Moncunill graduated in Dentistry from the University of Barcelona in 1996. He has two masters from the University of Barcelona, ​​one in Pediatric Dentistry since 1997 and another in Orthodontics since 2000. Since 2018 he has a master's degree in Invisible Orthodontics by Manuel Roman Academy.

He is professor of the Master in Orthodontics at the University of Barcelona since 2006.

He is an assistant doctor and clinical professor in the pediatric dentistry and orthodontics service of the SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital since 2005.

His line of research is based on the relationship between malocclusion and Hypoapnea Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome and the effects of maxillary expansion-protraction with the ALT-RAMEC technique.

He is currently developing her doctoral thesis project on maternal periodontal disease and preterm birth. All this, with the aim of applying this knowledge in patients of our maternal-infant university hospital.

Since 2018 he has been a member of the Accredited Group AGAUR-SGR / GRE453; Dentistry Hospital, Clinical Orthodontics & Periodontal Medicine research group (HDCORPEMrg) and is linked to the Institut de Recerca Sant Joan de Deu (IRSJD).
