The researcher Mireia Aznar Gómez has a degree in Dentistry from the International University of Catalonia since 2002. She has a Master's Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Barcelona since 2006 and a master's degree in Plastic Orthodontics from Dr Arturo Vela (2019).

She is an assistant doctor of the Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry Service of the SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital since 2006. She is a professor of the Master in Orthodontics at the University of Barcelona from the year 2009 to the present.

Since 2018 she has been a member of the accredited research group AGAUR-SGR / GRE453; Dentistry Hospital, Clinical Orthodontic & Periodontal Medicine Research Group (HDCORPEMrg), linked to the Institut de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu (IRSJD).

Her line of research is based on the study of malocclusions in patients with craniomaxillofacial malformations, the effects of the expansion-protraction of the maxilla with the ALT-RAMEC technique and the multidisciplinary study of oral alterations in children with associated systemic pathology.
