Víctor Chavarría Romero

The researcher Victor Chavarria Romero graduated in Medicine in 2012 from the University of Lleida and completed his residency in Psychiatry at the Hospital del Mar, obtaining the title of specialist in 2017. Between 2016 and 2017 he spent a four-month stay at the IMPACT - Barwon Health team in Geelong, Australia, where he collaborated on projects related to the placebo and nocebo effects, as well as the relationship between Angiotensin II and mitochondrial function in Depressive Disorder and Bipolar disorder respectively.
He has done external reviews for the Bipolar Disorders and Frontiers in Psychiatry magazines in the field of placebo and nocebo effects. He is currently a referring psychiatrist for Hospital D'Aguts PSSJD-Sant Boi since April 2019.
