Ainhoa ​​Pascual graduated in Genetics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in 2016 and completed the Master's Degree in Clinical Analysis Laboratory at Pompeu Fabra University in 2017. She has trained in the field of human genetics, specifically in rare diseases, being the final master's project on Rett syndrome (RTT), which was carried out at the Genetic and Molecular Medicine Service of Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona with the group of Dr. Judith Armstrong.

Currently, she is doing the Doctorate program in Genetics at the University of Barcelona with the group of Dr. Judith Armstrong in the Genetic and Molecular Medicine Service of the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona and awarded a scholarship by the Association of fathers and mothers Miradas que hablan-Duplicación de MECP2". The thesis project is entitled "Study of global expression levels in patients with MECP2 duplication syndrome and Rett syndrome: search for new prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets".
