Dr. Christian Mata finished his doctorate in Computer Vision and Robotics at the University of Girona (Spain) and the University of Burgundy (France) with Cum Laude recognition and International Mention, in July 2015.
Medical image processing, computer vision and artificial intelligence are the main lines of his research. He is a member of the Barcelona Center for Research in Biomedical Engineering (CREB).
As a teacher, he has been a professor at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) since 2017 linked to the Department of Systems Engineering, Automation and Industrial Informatics (ESAII). And since 2012, he is also an adjunct professor in the Laboratory of Electronics, Informatics and Imaging (LE2i) at the University of Burgundy (France) of the Erasmus-Mundus in Computer Vision and Robotics.
In 2021 he joined the Institut de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu as a researcher and Project Manager.
