Description

The mission of the FY17 PCRP is to find and fund research that will lead to the elimination of death from prostate cancer and enhance the well-being of men experiencing the impact of the disease.

Specifically, the PCRP seeks to promote highly innovative, groundbreaking research; high-impact research with near-term clinical relevance; multidisciplinary, synergistic research; translational studies to support the fluid transfer of knowledge between bedside and bench; research on patient survivorship and quality of life; the next generation of prostate cancer investigators through mentored research; and research on disparities in the incidence and mortality of prostate cancer.

Different funding depending on the award mechanism. Please check the Synopsis of PCRP Award Mechanisms or the Program Announcement.

Characteristics

The PCRP is currently accepting applications for three award mechanisms:

- Idea Development Award

- Physician Research Award

- Early Investigator Research Award

Each award has different funding limits and eligibility requirements. Please consult the Synopsis of PCRP FY2017 Award Mechanisms document in order to find the most convenient mechanism for your research project. You will find the complete information on the selected mechanism in the corresponding Program Announcement.

Documentation

All award mechanisms require a Pre-application through the electronic Biomedical Research Application Portal (eBRAP) https://ebrap.org/ Principal Investigators and organizational representatives should register in eBRAP as soon as possible.

Terms

There are different deadlines for each kind of award:

- Idea Development Award: Jun 6, 2019

- Physician Research Award: Jun 6, 2019

- Early Investigator Research Award: Jun 6, 2019

Succesful pre-applications will be invited to submit a full application submission through Grants.gov (http://www.grants.gov/)

- Idea Development Award: Sept 19, 2019

- Physician Research Award: Jun 27, 2019

- Early Investigator Research Award: Jun 27, 2019
