Introduction

Fast Grants is a grant programme from Emergent Ventures (EV), an incubator fellowship and grant programme for social entrepreneurs. EV is a project at the Mercatus Center, George Mason University. Over $10 million has been committed to the COVID-19 call by a variety of funders.

Fast Grants are available to individuals and labs affiliated with academic organisations in need of additional funding to complete projects to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Budget

Fast Grants are $10,000 to $500,000.

Requirements

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

  • A Principal Investigator at an academic institution.
  • Already working on a project that could help with the COVID-19 pandemic within the next six months.
  • In need of additional funding to complete the project.

Researchers outside the US are eligible for funding.

There are no IP restrictions associated with Fast Grants.
