Dr. Agustín Luján graduated in Medicine in 2014 from the National University of Cuyo, Argentina, and obtained his PhD in 2020, under the supervision of Dr. Teresa Damiani and Dr. Gabriel Rabinovich from the National University of Cuyo, Argentina.
During his PhD, he completed research stays at the Institut Curie (Lamaze Lab) and the Institut de Psychiatrie et Neuroscience de Paris (Galli Lab). Between 2021 and 2025, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Genomic Regulation in Barcelona, directed by Prof. Vivek Malhotra, where he studied the mechanisms involved in protein secretion, lipid metabolism, and mitochondrial function.
Between 2015 and 2021, he was an assistant professor at the National University of Cuyo in Argentina, and subsequently, between 2021 and 2023, at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
In 2025, he joined the Arrhythmia, Hereditary Cardiovascular Diseases and Sudden Death Unit, headed by Dr. Sarquella Brugada, as well as the Neuromuscular Diseases Unit, headed by Dr. Andrés Nascimento, at the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital.
