Lucía Peñarrubia San Florencio

Researcher Lucía Peñarrubia San Florencio graduated in Nursing in 2004 from the University of Barcelona. She completed the Postgraduate Program in Nursing Care for Children and Adolescents at UCI (University of Barcelona) in 2008 and the Master's Degree in Research Methodology Applied to Nursing Care at the University of Barcelona in 2014. She has been a pediatric specialist nurse since 2015.

Currently, she is pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of Lleida within the Interuniversity Program in Integrated Care and Health Services. From 2010 to 2017, she served as an associate professor at the University of Barcelona at the Sant Joan de Déu Campus in the Nursing Degree program and the Master's program in Nursing Care for Childhood and Adolescence. In 2017, she joined the Palliative Care and Complex Chronic Patient Service at the SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital as an assistive nurse.

She currently combines her clinical work with the development and implementation of digital solutions within the service, as well as conducting research in the field of chronicity, complexity, and palliative needs in pediatrics.
