The Cure Starts Now Foundation is an international nonprofit organization based in the USA, dedicated to funding basic, translational, and clinical research aimed at finding a cure for all cancers by starting with pediatric brain tumors. The foundation particularly focuses on diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), diffuse midline glioma (DMG), and medulloblastoma. To date, they have funded projects in 129 institutions across 29 countries.

Call Overview and Topics:
The foundation offers three types of grants, each tailored to specific research needs:

• Cure Fund:
  Immediate funding up to $50,000 USD for innovative ideas and pilot projects.
  Requires a 4-minute live pitch at the Brain Cancer Symposium.
  Open to international applicants.
  Deadline: 23/5

• Homerun Grant:
  Standard grants up to $100,000 USD, expandable to $200,000 USD for investigators who actively contribute to the International DIPG/DMG Registry or SIOPe DIPG/DMG Registry.
  Designed for translational, clinical, basic, and delivery science projects.
  Open to international and industry applicants.
  Deadline: 01/06

• BFG Project (Big Fat Grant):
  Grants up to $1,000,000 USD for multi-year, collaborative projects with strong innovation and potential for significant impact.
  Must be translational or clinical studies.
  Open to international applicants. Applicants must accept the foundation's Intellectual Property Policy.
  Deadline: 01/05

The aim is to support promising research that significantly advances understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric brain tumors-particularly DIPG/DMG and medulloblastoma.

• Holders of MD, DO, PhD, Dr, PH or equivalent degrees.

• Must be affiliated with a nonprofit or a valid medical/scientific organization.
