The researcher Joan Maynou holds a degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Barcelona and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia since 2016.
He has experience in the development of mass sequencing data analysis protocols (NGS) for both WGS, WES, CES, RNA-seq. It has been part of massive sequencing projects, both public and private.
He is currently part of the Bioinformatics Unit of the Department of Genetic and Molecular Medicine at the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu. The main objectives are the research and diagnosis of rare diseases by analyzing NGS data.
