Abraham José Paredes Fuentes
Abraham José Paredes graduated in Chemistry in 2008 from the University of Valencia, after completing his final degree project at Imperial College, London, United Kingdom. Subsequently, he studied an Official Master's Degree in Clinical Analysis Laboratory at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
After his time as a QIR resident at the Hospital Universitario Virgen de las Nieves de Granada, he obtained his title of Specialist Chemist in Clinical Analysis. During this period he made two stays, one at the Instituto de Bioquímica Clínica del Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, and the other at the Microbiology Service of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. In addition, he also completed the Official Master in Research and Advances in Microbiology at the University of Granada.
In 2015, he was awarded an International Scholarship from the Sociedad Española de Medicina de Laboratorio (SEQC-ML), to do a 4-month stay at the Genetics and Genomic Medicine Program of the Institute of Child Health in London, United Kingdom. On his return, he joined the Neonatal Screening Program of Catalonia for 4 months.
After his stint in the private sphere, he is currently developing his doctoral thesis through a predoctoral grant for Training in Health Research (PFIS) at the Institut de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu.
