Elizabeth Parody Rua
Dr. Elizabeth Parody has a degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Antioquia (Medellin) since 1997. She has a Master's Degree in Health Economics and Health Management from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra since 2003 and is a Doctor in Public Health and Biomedical Research Methodology by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona since 2008.
She has experience as a professor associated with pregraduate and postgraduate programs from pharmacy to diploma and short courses of economic evaluation.
She is currently a researcher at the PRISMA group of the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu, and she is a member of Red de Investigación en Actividades Preventivas y Promoción de la Salud (RedIAPP).
She has experience in research in health economics and economic evaluation, conducting budget impact analysis studies, cost-effectiveness studies in different pathologies, study of the economic impact of musculoskeletal diseases in Spain, etc.
She has participated in the European Prime Care project and has conducted research in pharmaceutical care (problems related to medicines in primary care, emergencies and hospitalized patients with rheumatoid arthritis) and therapeutic adherence. In addition, she has carried out qualitative studies of musculoskeletal diseases in Spain.
